The 2,500 mile Pacific to Indian Ocean journey has begun. The winding green road from Moruya went up and over the Great Dividing Range, through steep eucalyptus forests before meandering through rolling yellow fields on a hot, early summer day.
Leaving Moruya, saying goodbye to family and a place I’ve considered home this year, wasn’t easy. Once in Canberra, it was a relief to be with friends Anna and Rob, and their lovely baby girl. Anna is a gracious hostess and natural mother and caretaker, and it was a wonderful way to begin the journey across this beautiful country.
